Bob Dylan creates Steampunk metal art

Bob Dylan
The famous musician Bob Dylan has created: Mood Swings, a new exhibition at London’s Halcyon Gallery, that will show off a series of large-scale metalworks—seven gates made from vintage iron scraps, hand-welded by the man himself. While it is up for discussion as to whether this work can be called 'steampunk' since it's non-functioning and doesn't use steam, the display was created by a man that has been an influential figure in popular music and culture for more than five decades. Take a look and decide for yourself. Mood Swings 16 Nov 2013 - 25 Jan 2014 “I’ve been around iron all my life ever since I was a kid. I was born and raised in iron ore country – where you could breathe it and smell it every day. And I’ve always worked with it in one form or another. Gates appeal to me because of the negative space they allow. They can be closed but at the same time they allow the seasons and breezes to enter and flow. They can shut you out or shut you in. And in some ways there is no difference.” – Bob Dylan Check out the exhibit here: Halcyon Gallery.com
